Why AP?
Advanced Placement (AP) classes provide students the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school. With a qualifying AP exam score students who attend college can skip introductory college courses, saving families both time and money. AP classes are nationally-aligned courses that will assist students in preparing for the national Advanced Placement exams given in May. AP exams are optional tests that are for students who wish to earn college credit. Check out the AP Credit Policy Search for additional information on participating institutions.
AP Exam Registration and Payment
Exam registration and payment will happen during the fall semester for all AP students across the United States. To ensure accurate and timely processing of all AP test registrations, the deadline to register for all AP exams at Greenfield High School is October 4, 2024. AP test registration will be confirmed in each AP class no later than October 23, 2024. The deadline to pay fees for all AP exams is May 2, 2025. The exam fee is $99.00 per exam this year. Payments may be made online in Infinite Campus Fees by self-selecting each exam, or directly at the GHS main office by cash or check (payable to School District of Greenfield).
Fee Waivers
Wisconsin Statutes 120.12(22) provides equity and access for students to be able to take AP exams each year. In accordance with this statute, the School District of Greenfield will pay all AP exam fees for students who qualify for free or reduced priced meals. Students who do not qualify for free or reduced meals must pay all exam fees. The fee waiver is automatically applied to eligible students and no additional actions or steps need to be taken.
Accommodations
Please note that students do not automatically receive the same accommodations they get in school, even if they have an IEP or 504 plan. If you believe your student needs accommodations, please contact Mrs. Griffie by December 13, 2024.
