Elementary School lays a foundation for future learning and contributions, and at Edgewood, we work diligently to ensure that everyone grows, both academically and socially emotionally. I'm honored to be in my 11th year as principal here. Our school community--staff, students, and families, are committed to excellence, and that has led to recognition at the state and national levels for both our work with Character Education and for our students' academic growth and outcomes.
A bit about me: Growing up in California, I did some moving around before finding my home in Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor's from Northwestern University in Chicago, and then moved to the DC area, where I received my Master's in Special Education at George Mason University and later, my Post-Mater's Certificate in Educational Administration from George Washington University. I've worked as a Special Education teacher, an Instructional Coach, and an Assistant Principal. I live in Milwaukee with my husband Larry and our four children--Piper, Adam, Liza, and Audrey, an energetic dog named Gambit, and a cat, Jasper.
I believe that successful schools involve the entire community--students, staff, parents, and community members. I invite you to stop in, introduce yourself, and get involved!
