On Sept.28th,2020 the Greenfield School Board voted to reinstate in-person learning at the elementary (preK-5th grade) level beginning on Wednesday, October 7th. Following 3 days of an in-person soft start, the elementary schools will begin 5-day a week in-person learning with all students on Monday, October 12th.
At either the October 12th School Board’s Committee of the Whole meeting, or at a possible special meeting on October 19th, the school board will again review relevant public health data, be briefed on the first week of elementary in-person learning, and decide whether or not it may be appropriate to set a date for an in-person return for 6th-12th grade students. The earliest that the School Board could decide to bring middle school students back into the school would be the week of October 26th. Once a date for an in-person return is established by our School Board we will share additional information and timelines, including our In-Person Safety Plan.
