Welcome to Edgewood School, where we work to ensure that everyone grows. I believe that elementary school lays the foundation for our society, and that every child can learn at high levels.
A bit about me: Growing up in California, I did some moving around before finding my home in Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor's from Northwestern University in Chicago, and then moved to Northern Virginia (the DC area), where I received my Masters in Special Education at George Mason University, and later, my Post-Mater's Certificate in Educational Administration from George Washington University. Prior to becoming the principal at Edgewood, I worked as a Special Education teacher, an Instructional Coach, and an Assistant Principal in Fairfax County, Virginia, and as an Instructional Coach in Wauwatosa, WI. I live in Milwaukee with my husband Larry, and children Piper, Adam, Liza, and Audrey.
I believe that successful schools involve the entire community--students, staff, parents, and community members. I invite you to stop in, introduce yourself, and get involved!
