Flutterball/Flag Football
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in a flutterball or flag football unit. They will work on passing, punting, catching, and teamwork during gameplay. Students will develop, practice and design play as part of their assessments.

Archery
Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade will participate in an archery unit. They will work with long and compound bow. Safety and proper technique will be the emphasis of this unit. Students will participate in written and skills as part of their assessment.

Soccer
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in a soccer unit. They will work on dribbling, passing, and teamwork during game play. Large group games will be played. Students will participate in skills work as their assessment for this unit.

Fitness
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in a fitness unit. This unit takes place in the GMS fitness room. The fitness room is based on different stations that include a traverse wall, weights, bikes and stair steppers. Students will learn safety, proper technique and proper muscles as part of their assessment.

Dance
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in a dance unit. Students will learn the Electric Slide, Tae Bo, Dance, Dance Revolution and the Slap Leather. Students will be assessed on their participation in this unit.

Basketball
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in a basketball unit. Students will learn basic basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, and teamplay. Students will also learn about the rules of the game and the official signals of the game.

Volleyball
Student in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in a volleyball unit. Students will learn basic volleyball skills such as bumping, passing, spiking and serving, including overhand. Students will also learn about the rules of the game and official signals of the game.

Track/One-Mile Run
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in a track/one-mile run unit. Students will be prepared for a finale of a one-mile run. Students will also learn proper running form, sprinting techniques, long distance techniques, as well as relay technique.

Cross-Country Skiing
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will participate in cross country ski unit, weather permitting. Students will have the opportunity to learn basic safety and skills of cross country skiing. The students will ski on the land behind the school
