WELCOME
Welcome to the Greenfield Middle School Media Center. Students and staff are invited to use the materials for educational and recreational purposes. The Media Center has an open and flexible schedule allowing students access during seventh, eighth, and ninth hour instructional study halls.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the School District of Greenfield's K-12 instructional media program is to be a partner in the district's efforts to prepare its students to make a positive contribution to our democratic society. Believing that information literacy skills: locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and applying information from a variety of sources, are an integral part of all curricula and daily life, it is the program's mission to stimulate interest in and foster a lifelong appreciation of books and other forms of media for informational and recreational purposes.
CIRCULATION PROCEDURES
Students are allowed to check out 4 books at a time. They have two weeks to read the books and may renew them once. Popular books may be reserved.
Overdue notices are passes once a week, and it is the student's responsibility to return or renew the book by the following Monday. Students with overdue books may not check out books until the overdue books are returned.
If a student loses a book they must pay the replacement cost. If the book is found during the current school year their money will be refunded.
