The GMS Hawk I's are the school's parent "booster group" who's main purpose is to raise money to spend on the school, students and teachers.

The GMS Hawk I's are NOT the Home and School Association. At the middle school level, the Student Council starts to function as the home and school association deciding what fundraisers to have, sponsoring dances and other activities specifically geared to the student body.

• Stock and operate the school store available to students Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch hour.
• Provide dinner for the teachers when there are teacher conferences as well as food for the volunteers during registration.
• Sponsor the spiritwear sales throughout the year.
• Provide funds for camp middle school, Comedy Sports, field trips, buses, newspaper subscriptions, and any other extras that might not be available in the budget for the individual houses and/or teachers. Each year we donate thousands of dollars back to the school for those "extras".
• Sponsor the dance and party at the end of the year for the 8th graders
• Provide the teacher breakfast the last day of school.
