Family & Consumer Education - 6th Grade
The curriculum for sixth grade centers around two key important components. Students will be studying good grooming and proper attire for school wear. The other element of Face will be learning how to prepare and serve food prepared by class members. Manners, table setting and proper use of kitchen utensils are also stressed.


Family & Consumer Education - 7th Grade
Seventh grade Family and Consumer Education contains two components. During the first component, students will learn how to machine and hand sew an item of their choice (i.e. shorts, pants, pillow, etc.). The second component will involve a foods-related project.


Family & Consumer Education - 8th Grade
Eight grade Family and Consumer Education focuses on the basics of food preparation. Students learn accurate measurement, identification of ingredients, following a recipe, identification and use of kitchen utensils, operation of large and small appliances, kitchen safety, good nutritional practices, proper table settings, appropriate table manners and safe food handling procedures. They will learn to prepare various food products, some of which are: pizza, caramel corn, tacos, brownies, cookies, fruit and vegetable dips, etc.
